The Sylvania PAR56 LED lamp has an average life of 25,000 hours compared to 1000 hours for a standard PAR56 12v 300w pool lamp. They also have the benefit of lower energy costs with savings of up to 80% compared to a 12v 300w pool lamp. Admittedly, the initial cost of a LED Pool lamp is more but this will be re couped over a longer term with reduced energy bills. Obviously, this is a major concern for many due to the recent price increase hikes we have seen by the energy and utility companies.
